HOLMDEL, NJ — This fall, Monmouth County audiences will have the chance to see a new theatrical production from the Holmdel Theatre Company when they present “Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson — Apt. 2B.”

Set to run weekends from Saturday, Nov. 8 to Sunday, Nov. 23, the play flips the script on classic Sherlock Holmes tales and is directed by Tina Barone, produced by Laurie Devino and written by award-winning playwright Kate Hamill ("Pride and Prejudice," "Sense and Sensibility," "The Odyssey").

In this contemporary comedic spin, Ms. Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Joan Watson have to outwit eccentric clients, unhinged criminals, and each other — all while trying (and often failing) to keep their shaky partnership from unraveling.

From absurd disguises to razor-sharp banter, “Ms. Holmes & Ms. Watson — Apt. 2B” offers a “wildly entertaining” take on friendship, identity and what it means to work together when everything (and everyone) seems to be falling apart, officials said.

“This play is the perfect mix of mystery, wit and absolute comedic chaos,” Barone said. “Audiences are in for a fast-paced ride full of surprises, snark, and heartfelt hilarity.”
