Holmdel Youth Attacked, Left In Road; 3 Middletown Teens Charged: Cops

Three Middletown juveniles face "multiple charges" after an assault on a Holmdel youth April 5 left him hospitalized, Holmdel police say.

HOLMDEL, NJ — Three juveniles from Middletown face "multiple charges" after an assault on a Holmdel youth April 5, police said. The victim was hospitalized but has since been released, according to police.

Holmdel officers went to the Beau Ridge development at around 11 p.m. April 5 for a report of an assault with injuries, police said Tuesday.

There, officers found a juvenile unconscious and bleeding from the head, left in the roadway, police said.

The juvenile was transported to Bayshore Medical Center by Holmdel First Aid and later to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune. The victim has since been released from Jersey Shore, police said.

An investigation determined that three juveniles from Middletown struck the victim multiple times, leaving him seriously injured in the roadway before fleeing the area, police said.

All three suspects have been taken into custody and charged with multiple offenses, police said.
