​Monmouth County Coronavirus: 309 New Cases Tuesday

MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — Officials on Tuesday announced 309 new cases of the coronavirus have been identified in Monmouth County. No new deaths were reported.

New Jersey on Monday announced new restrictions in an effort to slow the spread of the virus. They are set to take effect on Dec. 7.

Under the new guidelines, outdoor gatherings are limited to 25 attendees. The limitation does not apply to religious or political activities, funerals, memorial services or wedding ceremonies. They also have no effect on outdoor dining.

Across the state on Monday, 3,199 new cases and 15 more deaths were reported.

Monmouth County will offer free coronavirus testing to its residents on Wednesday from 4 to 7 p.m. Only 200 tests will be administered during the testing clinic, the county said.

The clinic will be held at the New Point Comfort Firehouse located at 192 Carr Avenue. Residents hoping to be tested should complete out the testing requisition form ahead of testing.

Weather permitting, testing will also be offered on Thursday at the Freehold Borough Fire Department at 49 W. Main Street and on Saturday at Neptune Senior Center from 9 a.m. to noon.
