New Frozen Custard & Steakburger Restaurant Opens In Holmdel

HOLMDEL, NJ — A new frozen custard and steakburger restaurant has officially opened its first location in Monmouth County, the franchise recently announced.

Freddy’s Frozen Custard and Steakburgers, located at 2136 Route 35 South in Holmdel, officially opened its doors to customers on Sept. 2.

Known for its cooked-to-order steakburgers, all-beef hot dogs, shoestring fries and frozen custard treats (made with freshly churned chocolate or vanilla frozen custard), the Holmdel restaurant marks Freddy’s first in Monmouth County.

“We’ve been making plans for Monmouth County for some time and are excited to officially announce our first stop in the market,” said Peter Labib, franchise owner. “Holmdel is a vibrant city, and we believe Freddy’s dedication to serving high-quality, cooked-to-order menu items and providing genuine hospitality will resonate with guests.”

At the new location’s grand opening event, township officials such as Mayor Brian Foster, Deputy Mayor Kim LaMountain, Police Chief Frank Allocco, Fire Chief Eric Hernando and members of the local police and fire departments were in attendance alongside Labib and his family.

“Holmdel is always excited to welcome a new business to town!” the township said in an online statement. “We’re thrilled to have them as part of our community and wish the Labib family and the entire Freddy’s team the very best of luck!”

At the new Freddy’s location, the 2,960 square-foot, endcap restaurant seats 62 guests and has mobile ordering available through the Freddy’s app and website.

For those who have yet to try Freddy’s, Labib said the franchise regularly recommends the Original Double, which comes standard with two patties, two slices of cheese, mustard, onion slices and pickle planks.

Other menu options range from the Prime Rib Steakburger to Freddy’s Original Patty Melt, the All-Beef Hot Dog, Peanut Butter Bananza Custard, milkshakes and more.

“First-time guests often ask, ‘What makes a Freddy’s steakburger special?’” said Labib. “Every Freddy’s steakburger is cooked-to-order, sprinkled with Freddy’s Famous Fry Seasoning, and made with premium, lean ground beef pressed thin and seared on a flat-top grill to create deliciously crispy, caramelized edges and a juicy center.”

Hours of operation at the Holmdel restaurant are 10:30 a.m. to 10 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 10:30 a.m. to 11 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
