The MADD award is presented to officers who surpass impaired driving enforcement expectations, according to the police department.
In addition to his work in law enforcement, Connor is also a volunteer firefighter in Middletown Township and graduated from the Middletown Fire Academy in 2019.
Following his graduation, he began serving with the Navesink Hook & Ladder Fire Company, and in 2022, he transferred to the Old Village Fire Company, where he serves alongside Lt. Cherney and Sgt. D’Arcy.
In November, Connor began the Field Training Program in Holmdel and will go on to serve as a patrolman in the Patrol Division.
“Please help us welcome Patrolman Kevin Connor to the Holmdel Police Department,” the department said in an online statement. “We are looking forward to seeing what he accomplishes during his career. Congratulations and welcome, Kevin!”
