NJ Weather: Snow Forecast Updated Ahead Of Super Bowl Sunday

Light snow and icy road conditions are in the forecast for game day, forecasters say. Here's the latest.

NEW JERSEY - Following a taste of spring-like weather on Saturday, most of the Garden State will see at least an inch of snow in time for game day on Sunday, forecasters say.

Near-record setting temperatures ranging from high 50s to low 60s are expected across the state Saturday, according to the National Weather Service. However, temperatures will plummet into the low 20s and teens overnight into Sunday.

Forecasters predict between 1 to 2 inches of snow in the south and parts of central New Jersey, while most northern counties will likely see less than an inch of accumulation (save for Bergen, Passaic, Union, Hudson and Essex counties, which are expected to see 1 to 2 inches).

“Whether a location picks up a coating of snow with wet roads or a few inches of snow and slush, localized icy conditions can develop Sunday night and may linger into the Monday morning commute,” AccuWeather said.
