NJ Weekend Weather: Clear Skies, Sun At The Jersey Shore
Mostly sunny skies are expected at the shore this weekend with little chance of rain. Here's what to expect before heading outside.
JERSEY SHORE — The weather forecast is looking great for the weekend ahead at Jersey Shore, with mostly sunny skies and mild temperatures between 70 and 80, according to the National Weather Service.
After the chaos brought by remnants of Hurricane Ida last week, the weekend will serve as a temperate calm following the storm. Friday is expected to see a mostly sunny, breezy high (with winds up to 15 mph) with temperatures near 75, while Saturday will approach the 80-degree mark with cloudless skies and plenty of sun.
There is a high risk for rip currents on Friday for both the New Jersey and Delaware Atlantic coasts, according to the National Weather Service. "The elevated risk for rip currents may continue through the weekend," the agency said.

Dry and seasonable conditions are expected today, with highs in the 60s and 70s.

The hazardous beach conditions, expected through Saturday, can be attributed to swells from Hurricane Larry near the coast of Newfoundland in Canada. The swells may cause life-threatening surf and rip current conditions, and beachgoers are urged to follow the guidance of lifeguards and local officials, the National Hurricane Center said in a statement.
Sunday will finish the weekend strong with a high near 80 degrees, albeit with more cloud cover, breezes and humidity, according to AccuWeather. Next week is expected to see temperatures dipping into the upper 80s and low 90s, forecasters say.
