Police Enforcement Detail Planned In Monmouth County: See Where
The enforcement detail is part of the "Goal: Zero" campaign, which aims to confront the rise in traffic deaths NJ has seen in recent years.
MONMOUTH COUNTY, NJ — A police enforcement detail is set for towns throughout Monmouth County on Thursday, the Holmdel Township Police Department said.
The county-wide enforcement detail is part of the “Goal: Zero” campaign and will be on County Route 520 from 7-11 a.m. on Thursday, police said.
According to Holmdel Police, the enforcement detail will involve the following towns:

- Holmdel
- Marlboro
- Colts Neck
- Middletown
- Little Silver
- Red Bank
- Tinton Falls
- Shrewsbury
- Rumson
The intent of the “Goal: Zero” high-visibility campaign is to confront “the staggering rise in traffic deaths NJ has seen in recent years.”
“Traffic safety culture and driving behaviors need to change in order to keep people alive on NJ roadways,” Holmdel Police said. “Law enforcement agencies in Monmouth County are dedicated to lowering these numbers and keeping our roadways safe.”

As of Sunday, police said 401 people have lost their lives on NJ roadways in 2025, with 15 of these deaths occurring in Monmouth County.
As a result of the 2024 enforcement details, officers in Monmouth County stopped 2,276 vehicles and issued 1,400 summonses, which included 129 speeding violations, three reckless driving violations, 76 careless driving violations and more.
16 arrests were also made, police said, which included one DWI.
