Police Enforcement Detail Planned In Monmouth County: See Where

The enforcement detail is part of the "Goal: Zero" campaign, which aims to confront the rise in traffic deaths NJ has seen in recent years.

HOLMDEL, NJ — A police enforcement detail is set to take place in Monmouth County on Wednesday, the Holmdel Township Police Department said.

From 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, the "Goal: Zero" High Visibility Enforcement Detail will be on State Highway 34, with agencies throughout the state participating as well, police said.

The intent of the “Goal: Zero" campaign is to confront “the staggering rise in traffic deaths NJ has seen in recent years."

“Traffic safety culture and driving behaviors need to change in order to keep people alive on NJ roadways,” Holmdel Police said. “Law enforcement agencies in Monmouth County are dedicated to lowering these numbers and keeping our roadways safe.”

As of Nov. 12, police said 494 people have lost their lives on New Jersey roads in 2025, with 22 of these deaths occurring in Monmouth County.

As a result of the 2024 enforcement details, officers in Monmouth County stopped 2,276 vehicles and issued 1,400 summonses, which included 129 speeding violations, three reckless driving violations, 76 careless driving violations and more.

16 arrests were also made, police said, which included one DWI.
