HOLMDEL, NJ — A TD Bank location in Holmdel is one of many that will close throughout New Jersey this spring, the company said.
According to a bank spokesperson, the TD Bank branch at 670 Laurel Avenue, Holmdel, will be closing on June 5 alongside branches in Spring Lake Heights, Cedar Grove, Flemington, Marlton and Ringwood.
A total of 38 locations will close in TD Bank’s East Coast service area on June 5, the company said.

"As part of our normal business practices, we regularly evaluate existing TD Bank stores, which may result in some closures, consolidations, or relocations as we look for opportunities to better align our network of stores with customer needs and preferences," the spokesperson said.
After these six NJ locations close, the bank said they will have 216 locations throughout the state and are committed to making the transition “as smooth as possible” for customers.

The announcement comes after the bank pleaded guilty in a federal money laundering scheme and agreed to a $3 billion fine in October — making it the first national bank to do so.
