TikTok Threat To Hazlet School Investigated

The threat was made over the weekend and addressed by Hazlet Police, the Hazlet Township Public Schools Superintendent said.

HAZLET, NJ — A threat made to Cove Road School students on TikTok has been investigated, Hazlet Township Public Schools Superintendent Scott Ridley said.

According to Ridley, the threat was made over the weekend and Hazlet Police deemed the threat non-credible.

Those involved were interviewed and evaluated, Ridley said. The Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office was also made aware of the threat.

"According to these experts, there does not appear to be a danger to anyone regarding this event," Ridley said.

Ridley did not say what the nature of the threat was.

"As always, we will continue to perform our due diligence regarding the prioritization of safety and well-being for our entire Hazlet community," Ridley said.
