Town-Wide Garage Sale Sets Return In Hazlet

HAZLET, NJ — For those who missed out on their spring cleaning, you can get ahead for the upcoming autumn and winter seasons when Hazlet’s Town-Wide Garage Sale returns in October.

On Saturday, Oct. 11, township officials are inviting residents to participate in the sale, which will run from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Once sellers are registered to participate, they’ll be listed on the Hazlet Town-Wide Garage Sale interactive Google Map the week of the sale (no fee or permit necessary).

Interested sellers can fill out the sign-up form here after Sept. 11, officials said.

Buyers will then be able to use the map (which will be posted on the Hazlet Township website on Oct. 9) to find sales, read item descriptions, and make the most of their days.

For those with unsold items following the sale, officials are asking sellers to consider donating them to keep items out of landfills. A list of local charitable organizations can be found here.

“Community yard sales are a great way to promote reuse and recycling, keep items out of landfills, find bargains, or make a little money!” township officials said.

In case of rain, the Town-Wide Garage Sale will take place on Oct. 12 (optional for sellers).
