Two Roads In Holmdel Closed After Storm Damages Utility Lines

Line Road, Hillcrest Road in Holmdel are closed pending repairs of utility lines there, according to police.

HOLMDEL, NJ —Line Road has been closed from the intersection of Van Brackle Road to Wigwam Lane with live powerlines down in the roadway, police said earlier this morning.

Also, Hillcrest Road was closed from Hillcrest Court to Holmdel Road with a utility pole and live wires down in the roadway, police said.

Police advise motorists to plan alternate routes to avoid both closed roads.

Meanwhile, police said several neighborhoods have lost power.

The latest online update from electric utility JCP&L shows 130 customers are without power in Holmdel as of 8:30 a.m. There are a total of 8,153 outages reported in the entire county, according to the data.
