Viva Margarita Opens New Hazlet Location

HAZLET, NJ — Viva Margarita has officially come to Hazlet.

Located next to the Holiday Inn at 2870 Route 35 South, the restaurant opened its doors to customers on Thursday.

Offering meals ranging from Chipotle BBQ Chicken Burro to Al Pastor Street Tacos (and the margaritas that gave the restaurant its name), the new Hazlet location is the fifth addition to four other Viva Margarita restaurants throughout New Jersey.

“Welcome to our new location in Hazlet,” the restaurant posted in a Facebook statement. “We are pleased to know that you will enjoy our unmatched atmosphere, best margaritas in the world and our traditional cuisine.”

At the restaurant's grand opening on Thursday, attendees were able to enjoy live music from a Mariachi band and DJ, free tacos from the restaurant’s food truck and a ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Hazlet Township officials including Mayor Michael Sachs, Deputy Mayor Peter Terranova and Committeeman Jim Cavuto, as well as representatives of the Hazlet Business Owners Association, attended the grand opening and ribbon-cutting cutting ceremony.

On the restaurant's Instagram, footage of the new location was posted showcasing the outside of the building and interior.

“Thanks to the community for the great support so far,” the restaurant said in their Facebook statement. “We love you Hazlet!”

Viva Margarita’s Hazlet restaurant is located at 2870 NJ-35 S, Hazlet.
