WATCH: Video Shows Monmouth Jail Guards' Altercation With Inmate Hours Before Death

The video shows Amit Bornstein walking up to a nurse's station before guards confronted him. Bornstein is then restrained in a hallway.

A video was released Friday showing Monmouth County Jail guards restraining a 22-year-old Marlboro, N.J. man who died soon after the 2010 confrontation.

The Asbury Park Press released the footage after obtaining it from the U.S. District Court in Trenton, where Monmouth County officials sought to keep the video private.

The father of Amit Bornstein, the inmate, has filed a wrongful death civil lawsuit as a result of the incident at the Freehold correctional facility. Authorities who probed Bornstein’s death say jail staff acted within reason, according to the APP.
