3 Years Probation For Sparta Soccer Treasurer Who Stole $7,400

SPARTA TWP., N.J. – The longtime treasurer of the Sparta Township Soccer Club has been sentenced to three years probation and 100 hours community service after bilking the organization out of more than $7,400.

Seeland, 47, pleaded guilty on Nov. 30, 2015 for issuing club checks for her own personal use at least three times during a six-year period, totaling $7,409.

According to the Sussex County Prosecutor’s Office, Seeland was sentenced Jan. 29 to three years probation on condition she complete 100 hours of community service, submit a DNA sample, undergo random urine samples, and pay full restitution. She’ll also have to write a letter of apology to the Cluib and pay $160 in court fees.
