Anne Dole, 40-Year Lady of the Lake Church Member, Dies at 89
Dole raised her family in Sparta and spent 15 years of her later life as an election worker.

Longtime Sparta resident Anne Dole died Oct. 17 at the age of 89, according to a notice on the website of Goble Funeral Home.
The Newark native graduated from Weequahic High School in Newark there, and followed that with 19 years as an employee of the Prudential Insurance Company.
She married carpenter Charles Dole in 1958 and the couple had two sons and homes in Sparta and Barnegat Light. Starting in the late 1970s, she worked for the Sentry Insurance Company in Whippany for more than 12 years.
For more than 40 years, Dole was a member of Sparta's Lady of the Lake Church and served as a poll worker for a decade and a half.
She is survived by son and daughter-in-law Robert and Donna; grandsons Ryan, Patrick, Kevin and Zachary; and many relatives and friends.
Funeral arrangements were handled by Goble Funeral Home. A Mass of Christian Burial was held Monday at Our Lady of the Lake Church. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Anne M. Dole's name to: Pal's House, C/O MMC Foundation, 175 High St., Newton, NJ 07860.
