21st anniversary of the totally volunteer run nonprofit IES Brain Research Foundation supporting Summer Fellowships in Neuroscience

The volunteer run, tax exempt 501 C 3 nonprofit, Irene & Eric Simon (IES) Brain Research Foundation was announced April 2024. Since starting with giving 2 summer fellowships in neuroscience in 2005, IES Brain Research Foundation has given 116 as of summer 2024. The Summer Fellowship Program is funded soley by events and donations from businesses and individuals. This program allows bright undergrad, 1st year grad and 1st year med students to be mentored for the summer by brilliant neuroscientists, providing the students with invaluable full time, hands-on research experience in a top-notch lab. The goal is for these young scientists to add to the work of the senior scientists towards treatments and cures for brain diseases and conditions such as: Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s PTSD, brain cancer, TBI (concussion etc.), autism, addiction, epilepsy, ALS, schizophrenia, MS, pain, stroke, etc.

Join us for the Annual Irene & Eric Simon (IES) Brain Research Foundation Endorphin Golf Outing & Dinner which supports brain disease research and the development of the next generation of neuroscientists. All proceeds go directly to support the Foundation’s Summer Fellowship Program in Neuroscience.
