Chiefs Softball Rides Ace to Playoff Opener Win
Hopatcong will play the No. 1 seeded Ramsey team on Thursday.
Hopatcong (9) went on the road to Glen Rock (8) in their opening round game of the NJSIAA softball tournament on Tuesday.
Hopatcong’s ace Sam Kufta struck out nine batters, allowed only three hits on the day and only one hit over the last four innings.
Hannah Biebeault contributed a pair of runs while Kelsey and Shelby Spaziani each contributed a pair of hits.

The Chiefs will now have their hands full as they go up against the No. 1 seeded team in their group, Ramsey. Ramsey is 22-4 on the season and will be expecting to advance to the finals. Hopatcong will be on the road against Ramsey on Thursday.
