Hopatcong Farmer's Market Vendors You Can Visit

The Hopatcong Farmer’s Market has ended for the season Sunday October 21^st and the windy day prompted Mayor Mike Francis to move it indoors on its last day.

For regular patrons of the Hopatcong Farmer’s Market is was a sad occasion because a few of Hopatcong’s vendors do not have store front businesses and their following will need to wait till next year’s farmer’s market to see them again. It was also a final farewell for Marie Galate as the official borough council greeter and coordinator of the market. Marie was regular friendly face every market Sunday. Residents of Hopatcong got to casually connect with an informed elected rep that listened to their feedback on community happenings.

However, all is not lost. Some of the Farmer’s Market favorites do have a store front business just a stone throws away from the Municipal parking lot. You can still buy wood cut designs by Laurel Van Houten to add to your holiday outdoor décor during Thanksgiving, Christmas and Easter. She is one of the owners of Hopatcong’s legacy store fronts on River Styx Road. Since 1998 she has made her wood creations from cut to paint at this red barn building and is the second-generation owner of the Red Barn Crafts building at 448 River Styx Road. Don’t forget another farmer’s market favorite, coffee from the Solstice Cafe and Wellness Center 446a River Styx Road which is just a few doors away from the crafts barn.
