How Many Inches Of Snow Is Hopatcong, Sparta Getting, And When?
The NWS has updated its snow prediction for the Hopatcong and Sparta areas, with the towns providing important storm information.
HOPATCONG, NJ — The National Weather Service says that the snowstorm predicted to hit the Northeast overnight is likely to drop 3-5 inches on Hopatcong and Sparta between midnight and 9 a.m. Friday.
Governor Phil Murphy declared a state of emergency beginning on Thursday at 10 p.m., ahead of the storm.

The NWS Forecast For Hopatcong and Sparta:
Thursday Night: Snow, mainly after 2am. Low around 24. Calm wind becoming north around 5 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90%. Total nighttime snow accumulation of 1 to 3 inches possible.

Friday: Snow, mainly before 8am. High near 30. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80%. New snow accumulation of 1 to 2 inches possible.
Friday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 15. Northwest wind around 10 mph.
