Sparta Football to Face Ramapo in Rematch of 2012 Championship Game
The Spartans rolled past Englewood in the opening round last weekend.
The Sparta High School football continued its winning ways, defeating Englewood at home Saturday, 46-14, in the quarterfinals of the NJSIAA North Jersey, Section 1, Group 3 tournament, NJ.com reported.
The game was evenly matched until the second quarter, when both teams were tied at 14-all. Sparta running back Lucas Faria broke out with four second-half touchdowns, securing a dramatic win for the Spartans, the article said.
Second-seeded Sparta moves on to face third-seeded Ramapo, which beat the Spartans in the 2012 championship game.
