Hundreds of Mercer County Community College (MCCC) faculty, students, friends and local Mercer County residents are gathering to admire the College’s historic Yonia Fain: Refugee Modernism art exhibit. The exhibit is a collaboration between The Gallery at MCCC and the Mercer County Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Education Center and showcases the art of internationally acclaimed 20th Century modernist painter, Yiddish poet and Holocaust survivor Yonia Fain.

In conjunction with the exhibit, the Mercer County Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Education Center is hosting a fundraising event on Wednesday, November 15, to support its mission of providing support to educators, local organizations and the Mercer County community at large to better teach and understand the concepts and lessons of the Holocaust and other genocides. To become a sponsor for the fundraising event, or to donate to the Mercer County Holocaust, Genocide and Human Rights Education Center, please visit www.mccc.edu/hghr-give.

The Yonia Fain: Refugee Modernism exhibit is free and open to the public on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. and on Wednesdays from 12:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. The exhibit will close on Tuesday, December 12, 2023.
