Why We Walk To End Alzheimer’s: Sigma Kappa
Sorority at The College of New Jersey is committed to raising awareness and ending Alzheimer's disease
The Alzheimer's Association Greater New Jersey Chapter is spotlighting people and organizations who are making a difference in the fight to end Alzheimer's and all other dementia, by participating in the upcoming 2022 Walk To End Alzheimer’s (WTEA) - the world’s largest event to raise awareness and funds for Alzheimer’s care, support and research.
Today we say thank you to National Walk Team, Sigma Kappa, and Jessica Kraycirik, Vice President of Philanthropic Services at the Kappa Upsilon chapter of the Sigma Kappa Sorority at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ) for joining the fight to end Alzheimer’s and all other dementia. In the spring of 2022, Jessica and team hosted an Alzheimer’s educational program on the TCNJ campus. This kicked-off their 2022 participation in the Mercer-Middlesex Walk to End Alzheimer's, taking place this year on September 17 at Veterans Park in Hamilton Township, NJ. Sigma Kappa has hosted a variety of on-campus activities in support of their fundraising efforts. This year marks the 39th anniversary of the partnership between the Alzheimer's Association and Sigma Kappa Sorority.
Jessica exclaimed, “It is an honor to be a part of the Walk to End Alzheimer's. Our entire sorority is committed to raising awareness and ending Alzheimer's disease."

"The chapter is proud to work with a committed group of women who help us grow our impact in the community year over year. The TCNJ Sigma Kappa team already has over 60 members and a goal of raising $3,000” said, Casey Snyder, Director of Development, Alzheimer’s Association Greater NJ Chapter.
Sigma Kappa’s extraordinary passion and dedication to helping all those affected by the disease has inspired and motivated others to get involved. The funds raised by their effort, and others, helps propel the Association’s mission forward - accelerating global research, driving risk reduction and early detection, and maximizing quality care and support.
