Organizations from all over Howell are coming together this week to help resupply the local blood banks.
The Howell United Republican Club along with the Howell PAL, Howell First Aid Squad and the Howell Chamber of Commerce will be holding a blood drive on Saturday at the First Aid Squad’s building on Kent Road. The event is set to run from 9 a.m. until 1 p.m.
The donations will help the Central Jersey Blood Center keep their supplies ready when needed. For more information contact Leigh Wilkins at 732-673-5454 or email her at lwilkins@cjbcblood.org. Wilkins is also the guest speaker at the Chamber’s breakfast bonanza at Calgo Gardens. She is set to discuss the importance of giving blood. at the event which includes breakfast. All donors must have valid identification, drink and eat before donating, be at least 16-years-old with parental consent and weigh at least 120 pounds.
