Pedestrian Hit On Route 547 In Howell, Witnesses Sought

The female victim is hospitalized; the crash remains under investigation.

HOWELL, NJ — A crash on Route 547 that injured a pedestrian remains under investigation on Thursday, Howell police said.

The crash happened around 6 p.m. Wednesday on Route 547 north of Maxim Road, Howell police said.

The female victim is hospitalized but was still alive Thursday morning, Howell Police Chief John Storrow said. Additional details were not immediately available.

The road was closed from Maxim Road to Old Tavern Road until nearly 9:45 p.m. while she was being assisted and the crash scene was investigated, police said.
