Oak Glen Road Reopened In Howell, New Details On Car Crash

The driver made it out alive without any injuries and no one else was in the car, according to police.

HOWELL, NJ — A woman crashed her car into a utility pole on Oak Glen Road on Tuesday morning, causing the stretch between Maxim Road and Snowdrift Lane to close down, according to the Howell Township Police Department.

The 55-year-old driver from Howell made it out alive without any injuries and no one else was in the car, police said. She was seen at the scene by EMS.

Police could not say what caused the car to suddenly veer off of the road, as the driver did not give an explanation. She was issued a summons for careless driving. However, no signs of alcohol or drugs were detected, police said.

The pole and wires were down and the road was closed to allow for repairs, but it has since been reopened.
