Howell Had About 11.5 Percent Of New Monmouth Co. COVID-19 Cases

HOWELL, NJ — Howell had 38 new positive cases of COVID-19 between Monday and Thursday, a total of about 11.5 percent relative to Monmouth County.

The County reported 330 additional positive cases and one new death related to COVID-19 during the same time period.

The County Commissioners and the Monmouth County Health Department are reminding residents to do their part to slow the spread by following the updated Center for Disease Control guidelines.

The County has COVID-19 vaccines available at Brookdale Community College with no appointment necessary on Tuesdays from 2 to 6 p.m. Vaccines are available for residents who are at least 12 years old and live, work or attend school in Monmouth County.

There is also an upcoming vaccine clinic in Fair Haven on Aug. 11.

Free COVID-19 testing will be available in Aug. 4 in Asbury Park from 4 to 7 p.m. at the Asbury Park Transportation Center, located at 1 Municipal Plaza. The clinic will have a limited number of 200 tests available. There will also be a limited number of vaccines available for those who wish to receive it.
