Howell Man Found Fatally Shot At Home In Newark
The man was found in a home on South 16th Street after someone reported hearing gunshots, Newark police said.
NEWARK, NJ — Authorities are investigating after a Howell Township man was found shot to death in a home in Newark on Tuesday evening.
Tyquane Steed, 29, was found dead in a home on the 90 block of South 16th Street about 9 p.m. after receiving a report about a shooting, the Essex County Prosecutor's Office said Wednesday.
Steed was found with a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene at 9:13 p.m., authorities said.

No arrests had been made as of Wednesday, prosecutors said.
The Essex County Prosecutor’s Office Homicide/Major Crimes Task Force is investigating the fatal shooting. Authorities said anyone with information can contact the Essex County Prosecutor’s Office tips line at 1-877-TIPS-4EC or 1-877-847-7432.
