Howell Man's Car Hit As 6-Vehicle Crash Sends 1 Man To Hospital
Police say a 73-year-old man suffered a medical episode and crashed into five other cars in Wall, including one from Howell.
WALL, NJ — A Howell driver was hit in a crash involving six cars on Saturday afternoon after a man from Bradley Beach suffered a medical episode, drove his car into multiple others and had to be extricated, police said.
The 73-year-old man was driving a 2003 Ford Taurus West on Sea Girt Avenue in Wall when he suffered a medical episode and crashed into cars on Sea Girt Avenue and on Highway 35 and into the Simonas Bakery parking lot, police said.
A total of six cars and six drivers were involved in the accident.

The driver was trapped inside his car because of his medical condition and of the damages to the car caused by the crash.
He was extricated and taken to the Jersey Shore University Medical Center. None of the other drivers were injured.

South Wall Fire Rescue extricated the man using a new electric Holmatro rescue tool.
The other drivers were a 63-year-old woman from Sea Grit, a 66-year-old woman from Neptune City, a 47-year-old man from Brick, a 47-year-old man from Wall.
The incident is still under investigation, police said.
