Howell PBA Oktoberfest Returns This Weekend

An annual rite of fall will return this weekend when the Howell PBA Local 228 hosts its 8th Annual Oktoberfest on Saturday.

The always fun fair will run from 1 p.m. until 6 p.m. at the Priedaine, located at 1017 Route 33 West near The Cabin and the Monmouth County Fire Academy. the day includes music and raffles. There is also a wide variety of foods including German classics and locally made cakes for dessert as well as unlimited beer and wine. The cost is $40 per person and $10 for children between the ages of 7 and 12. Money raised from the event helps the PBA fund programs throughout the year.

For people looking for breakfast before heading to Oktoberfest the Howell Memorial Middle School TSA will be hosting a Flapjack Fundraiser at the Applebee’s on Route 9. The fundraiser is being held from 8 a.m. until 10 a.m. and tickets are just $8.

On Sunday afternoon Boy Scout Troop 300 will be hosting a fundraiser at the Howell Lanes with trophies being awarded for different age groups and skill levels. Space is limited so interested bowlers should RSVP to horvath@optonline.net.
