Howell Planners Approve Plans For New 7-Eleven In Town
The plan is for a 2,999 square feet 7-Eleven convenience store and gasoline station with six fuel dispensers on Route 9.

HOWELL, NJ — The Howell planning board approved a project for the construction of a 7-Eleven on 639 U.S. Highway 9 North, at the intersection of Strickland Road.
The plan is for a 2,999 square feet 7-Eleven convenience store and gasoline station with six fuel dispensers for a total of 12 fueling positions and canopy. Developers are also proposing 25 parking spaces.

Planners expressed concern over noise and what the timing of deliveries would be, as the development is next to a residential area.
The applicant agreed to limit all deliveries to the time period between 7 a.m. and 7 p.m., with the exception of newspapers on a vehicle no bigger than a box truck.

According to NJ.com, representatives of the applicant said in another meeting back in April that once this store is completed, the company plans to close its 7-Eleven in Route 9 North and Casino Drive.
The site is currently an Exxon gas station and convenience store.
