Missing Jersey Shore Teen Found Dead: Prosecutor

HOWELL, NJ — The 17-year-old teen from Wall that police had been searching for since Sunday afternoon was found dead at around 9:30 a.m. on Monday, according to the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office.

The teen was last seen leaving his home on Carmerville Road in Wall Township at around 3:45 p.m. on Sunday.

His car was found shortly after that around one mile away, parked at an Allaire State Park access point on Hurley Pond Road in Howell, the prosecutor's office said.

The teen had implied harming himself, according to police.

Officials added that there will be no further updates regarding this case.

Howell police deployed a drone, ATVs, K9s and personnel on Sunday in the search for the teen, who was then reported as being "endangered."

Police posted a notice on social media about the search in the area of Route 547 near the Howell Ice World on Sunday afternoon.

Multiple agencies were involved in the search, including the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, New Jersey State Police, New Jersey Office of Emergency Management, Monmouth County Rapid Deployment Force, Howell Township Police Department and Wall Township Police.
