Howell Tractor-Trailer Accident Tied Up Traffic At Routes 33/34
No injuries were reported in an accident Wednesday that caused traffic tie-ups in the Howell and Wall areas.
HOWELL, NJ — An accident involving a car hauler Wednesday afternoon in Howell tied up traffic into Wall Township, according to police.
The accident happened mid-day near the Routes 33/34 interchange, Howell police said.
A tractor-trailer car hauler overturned, causing some of its load to spill, Howell police said.

There were no reported injuries. At the time of the crash it appeared that the only vehicle involved was the truck and its cargo, police in Howell said. Police said at least two cars were dislodged and damaged.
But the accident did cause traffic backups in Wall, police there said.

State Routes 33/34 west were shut down around 1 p.m. between the traffic circle and the Howell border due to the Howell accident. The roads reopened at about 3:30 p.m., according to information posted by Wall Township police.
Comments from the public on the Wall post indicated drivers had to be rerouted, causing lots of delays.
