Police Set Up Perimeter By Howell Store After Attempted Theft
The suspect fled on foot after trying to steal a "significant amount" of merchandise from a Home Depot on Route 9 and West Farms Road.

HOWELL, NJ — A man tried to steal a "significant amount" of merchandise from a Home Depot in Howell, according to Howell Township police.
Police set up a perimeter around the store, on Route 9 and West Farms Road, and used a K-9 for tracking.
Police said the suspect fled on foot but was picked up on Route 9 by a person who had driven the suspect to the store. "He has been determined not to be involved as an accomplice," police said.
