Ragtime Music Coming to Howell Library
A look at events happening in Howell this weekend.

After a week of elections and budget hearings the Howell Public Library is giving residents a chance to kick back and kick up their heels with a special musical performance on Saturday.
The Ragtimers are scheduled to perform at 2 p.m. with musicians playing everything from bass to the banjo and saxophone. The group has been playing together since 1968 going all around the tri-state area. As part of the show the band will have a special salute to veterans. The Friends of the Howell Library will serve light refreshments as part of the day.
There will also be a special event in Farmingdale on Friday when local residents are invited to a discussion about girl soldiers in the Ugandan Rebel Army. The discussion will focus around a viewing of the film “Grace, Milly, Lucy…” The screening will be at the Program Activity Center on Yellow Brook Road. A $5 donation is suggested for people attending the event.
