Registration Is Open For Howell Mental Health First Aid Course
The six-hour training gives adults the tools to identify when young people might be struggling with a mental health or substance problem.
HOWELL, NJ — The Howell Alliance is hosting a Youth Mental Health First Aid certification training from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., on Oct. 2.
The six-hour training gives adults the tools to identify when youth might be struggling with a mental health or substance use problem and to connect youth with appropriate support and resources when necessary.
Just as CPR empowers those without clinical training to assist someone having a heart attack, Mental Health First Aid prepares participants to confidently interact with a person that is going through a mental health crisis.
