Snow Day Called For Howell, Freehold Regional District
About 3 to 7 inches of snow are expected on Monday, according to the latest forecast from the National Weather Service.
HOWELL, NJ — Like many other school districts in Monmouth County, Howell Township Public Schools and Freehold Regional High School District have declared Monday a snow day, due to the winter storm warning in New Jersey.
"Due to the winter storm, all Freehold Regional schools and offices will be closed today, January 3, 2022," a statement from Freehold Regional reads.

The National Weather Service warned that snowfall would result in treacherous driving conditions. Blowing snow will cause reduced visibility, further increasing danger traveling.

Even though roads may initially remain above freezing, higher snowfall rates will still lead to roads becoming snow-covered in areas under warnings or advisories, according to the National Weather Service.
