HOWELL, NJ — Howell residents with special needs should register with the township in the event of an emergency, the Office of Emergency Management urges.

“Register Ready – New Jersey’s Special Needs Registry for Disasters” can help residents with disabilities or access and functional needs should an evacuation be necessary, says Victor Cook, head of the OEM.

The residents and their families, friends, caregivers and associates can provide information to emergency response agencies so first responders can better plan to serve them in a disaster or other emergency, he said.
