Suzanne​ Brennan​ Sworn In As New Howell Councilwoman

HOWELL, NJ — The vacancy left on the Howell Council by deputy mayor Thomas Russo has been filled by Suzanne Brennan, who took the oath of office last Friday.

The newly appointed councilwoman ran last year against incumbent Theresa Berger.

Brennan is a practicing attorney, born and raised in Monmouth County.

She was a member of the Howell Township Board of Education from 2010 to 2016, where she served terms as vice president and chair of the board’s labor committee.

Brennan was one of three names put forward by the Republican Committee.

Council members failed to appoint a nominee during their last meeting, leaving the choice up to Republican Committee.
