FREEHOLD, NJ – A two-vehicle crash in Howell early Sunday morning has resulted in the death of a Lakewood man, Monmouth County Prosecutor Raymond S. Santiago said. The accident happened at approximately 2:53 a.m. at the intersection of Route 9 and Aldrich Road, the prosecutor's office said on Sunday afternoon. One driver, a Lakewood man, 69, died in the accident, authorities said. The victim was not identified. The crash is currently under investigation by members of the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office, Monmouth County Serious Collision Analysis Response Team (SCART), and the Howell Police Department. Anyone who may have witnessed the crash is urged to contact Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Detective Brian Boryszewski at 800-533-7443 or Howell Township Police Department Police Officer Michael Silvani at 732-938-4111.
