MORRIS COUNTY, NJ — A man from Paterson was arrested Tuesday, after the Morris County Narcotics Task Force and Wharton Police found a kilo of fentanyl in his possession, according to the Morris County prosecutor's office.
The man, Luis Reyes-Rosario, 30, faces charges including distribution of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a controlled dangerous substance.
"This is an important seizure since, tragically, we know that numerous overdoses each year are the result of individuals ingesting fentanyl that has been mixed with other illegal narcotics, including heroin," Morris County Prosecutor Robert Carroll said.
