$180K Bond Ordinance On Council Meeting Agenda
Funds would be used to complete work on Holland Mountain Road.

Top on the agenda at Wednesday night’s meeting will be a bond ordinance for first reading appropriating $180,000 in funds to complete improvements on Holland Mountain Road.
Acting Department of Public Works (DPW) head Ed Hack said that while Holland Mountain Road from Wegman Lane to Lake Stockholm has been completed, the addition of cross drains to alleviate icing problems cost the township more money than originally budgeted for the project. The remaining 4,400 foot stretch down to Ridge Road is what will require the an additional funds to complete, he added.
"That section may not get paved this year," Hack said. "It depends upon how soon we get the funding, and how soon winter sets in. The (New Jersey) Department of Transportation is aware of the changes to the plan, and the splitting of the project into two sections."
