5 Things the Police Department Can Do For You

They don't just write traffic tickets.

When many of us think of the police department, we think of the help it gives in the event of traffic accidents, or possibly writing traffic tickets when we misbehave on the road. However, the Jefferson police department offers a wealth of services, which we list for you here.

  2. Vacant House Check Program: If you are going to be away from home, you can fill out a form and submit it to the police and they will check your property until you return. Check here for the form.
  3. Email Notification Service: The department will send you emails with important information such as emergency news, upcoming construction, water restrictions or special announcements. Send your name, street address and email address to subscribe@jeffersonpolice.com.
  4. Alarm Registration: If you get a new alarm system in your home, you can register it with the police department with this form.
