A Full Body Workout in Half an Hour

In this week's installment of Patch Takes It Off, our heroine heads to a personal trainer.

After last week’s zumba class, I decided that this week I would try for a little more personal attention. Therefore, the latest episode of “Patch Takes It Off” took me to a session with Becca Williams, a trainer at on Route 15 in Lake Hopatcong.

Becca gave me a 30-minute express full-body workout, which is pretty much exactly what it sounds like. In about half an hour, I’d worked every major muscle group, with cardio interspersed throughout.

She took some time to assess my fitness level, and helped me choose weights that were challenging, yet doable for me. I worked up quite a sweat in 30 minutes (which you will see in the video), and felt very “worked out” by the time I left.

A session of the type Becca showed me would cost between $30 and $40. At least twice a week is recommended.

In other weight related news, after two sessions of the CAPP Beach Biggest Loser competition, I have lost 11 pounds. Not bad, but I definitely could have done much better.

Congratulations to Amy Murdter, who was this session’s biggest loser with a total of 3.7% weight loss. Great job Amy!
