Beat the Heat and Have Some Fun at the Library

These activities will provide enjoyment, food, decorations and fun.

The Jefferson Township Public Library is calling you in this heat and humidity. Go into the air conditioning, read a good book, go online for free or attend one of these programs happening in the next two days.

  1. Tech Club: It happens at 4 p.m. today. Kids in grades three and up can learn some cool computer stuff at these workshops.
  2. One Stroke Painting: Tonight at 6:30 p.m., you can make a sun catcher to hang in your window. Spend an evening getting your creative juices flowing and come away with a new decoration. What could be better?
  3. Chair Yoga: All the relaxation of yoga while sitting in a chair. Sounds like fun to us! Try it at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
  4. Teen Café: Teens can gather to talk about books, exchange writing prompts, work on crafts or check out cool places online at this mini-party from 4:30 – 5:30 p.m. on Thursday. And you’ll get snacks!
  5. Chess Club: For those of you into this ever-popular board game, hit the library at 6 p.m. on Thursday for some competition.
