Bring Your A-Game to the Stanhope House, Teachers' Vendor Fair
Your daily planner for Jefferson Township includes a kindergarten preparation early reading session at the local library.

Here's what you need to know for Tuesday.
- If you heard last weekend's episode of Public Radio International's 'This American Life,' you heard a report focusing on the importance of preschool and early education for young children. Knowing that may make early reading activities at Jefferson Township Library even more important. On Tuesday, the library offers two sessions of its 'Kindergarten, Here I Come' program, one at 10:15 a.m. and another at 1:15 p.m.Β The program is free, but you must preregister online, or contact the library at 973-208-6244.Β
- Area public school teachers are invited to a New Jersey Education Association event to help them save money at holiday time. The union's All Members Benefit Fair will present union-approved merchants selling their wares at discounts. There will also be informational booths for Morris County Council of Education Associations committees, goodie bags, prizes and more. RSVP by callingΒ 973-366-0202 or sending email toΒ office@mccea.com. The event takes place from 4:30-6:30 p.m. at the Zeris Inn,Β 372 Route 46 East inΒ Mountain Lakes.
- It's never too early in the week to get your jam on, and every Tuesday, you can rock out on the Roadhouse Stage at the Stanhope House. The venue presentsΒ All-Star JamΒ featuring blues kingΒ Johnny Charles. The night also offers a chance forΒ the best and brightest performers in the region to show their stuff.Β Grab your guitar and bring your A-gameβnote that the Stanhope warns that this event "this ain't for no beginners!" Β There's no cover charge for this all-ages show, which starts at 6 p.m. The Stanhope House is atΒ 45 Main St. inΒ Stanhope.
