Cops: Fuel Thief Knocks Down Exxon Attendant

Driver made off with $81 worth of gas, police said.

A fuel thief knocked down an Exxon attendant as he sped away from the gas station on Route 15, police said.

A driver described as being in his 20s, with a thin build and blonde hair, came to the station on July 10, police said. He was accompanied by a while female in what police believe was an older model red Jeep Cherokee-type vehicle, and asked the Exxon attendant to fill the gas tank, police said.

When the tank was filled and the attendant was putting the gas cap back on, the vehicle sped away, knocking the attendant down in the process, police said.
