Drummond School Under Construction
The old kindergarten school will soon house the Board of Education.

Today’s picture shows Drummond School on the Lake Hopatcong side of town. For years, the building, which used to be called Consolidated School, housed kindergartners. The school was closed down, and, after some controversy over the decision, is in the process of being renovated to become the new home to the Board of Education. District administrators should move in by the end of this year.
Welcome to “A Picture and a Paragraph.” It’s exactly what it sounds like, really. Each day we post a picture, and write a short paragraph about it. Maybe it will be a photo of an event that already happened, or something that didn’t make a past photo gallery. Maybe it will be something that we see that catches our eye. In any event, it will be something fun for you to look at.
We’d like to invite you to submit your pictures for “A Picture and a Paragraph” as well. You can send the photo to me, susan.toth@patch.com. You can write your own paragraph, or just give us a quick description and we’ll write the paragraph. It’s up to you. Have fun choosing your photos! (But remember, Patch is a family-friendly publication!)
