Falcons Fall to 4-2 After Loss to Morris Hills

Jefferson football suffers defeat at the hands of the Scarlet Knights.

While the Homecoming candidates looked beautiful in their party dresses, the Falcons’ performance on the field was anything but beautiful, as they went down to Morris Hills 27-14. The loss brings the Falcons’ record to 4-2.

IN SHORTΒ The Falcons went up 14-0, on two J.R. Reese touchdown passes, one to Vinnie Ginefra and the other to Evan Miller. But then the Scarlet Knights’ two touchdowns knotted the score. A third touchdown before the half put Morris Hills ahead to stay.

The Scarlet Knights would score one more time in the third quarter. A missed extra point put the score at 27-14.

TOP FALCON OFFENSIVE PERFORMANCESΒ  PASSING: Quarterback J.R. Reese completed seven passes for 83 yards, and rushed for 43 years. RECEIVING: Vinnie Ginefra had 25 yards, including a 12-yard touchdown. Evan Miller had an 11-yard touchdown. RUSHING: John Kampas, 39 yards;Devyn Sanchez, 28 yards.

TOP FALCON DEFENSIVE PERFORMANCESΒ  TACKLING: Dan Brown had six unassisted and eight assisted tackles.
